IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE | AUDIOVISUAL | SPECULATIVE DESIGN | INTERACTION
Danni Zheng is a London-based new media artist and Royal College of Art alumna. Her multidisciplinary practice, deeply rooted in spatial design, explores the intersection between physical environments and virtual realms through various mediums including 3D animation, installation, immersive experience and live performance. She has extensive experience managing and executing large-scale projects, integrating complex visual narratives into immersive experiences.
Initially focused on transforming physical spaces and conceptualising future living environments, Zheng’s practice has evolved into exploring dialogues between tangible spaces and digital contexts. Her research-based projects investigate hidden infrastructures underlying contemporary technology, exploring themes of digital materiality, resource consumption, and the complex industrial systems behind them. In parallel, her visual and experiential projects emphasise speculative world-building by blending natural elements, synthetic structures, and human interventions, fostering reflections on environmental sustainability and potential future scenarios.
She has collaborated with prominent international brands and institutions, including Lancôme and Beijing Poly Art, and has contributed to the visual production and laser design of Max Cooper’s tours. She has participated in residencies including SIM Gallery in Iceland. Her artworks have been exhibited widely across notable venues in London, Shanghai, Miami, Hong Kong, Reykjavík, Brighton, and Madrid.
